Mersevát
The tidy, flowery houses of the settlement of Vas County with nearly 620 inhabitants characterise well the orderly, hard-working people living here.
The evangelical and the Roman Catholic churches are situated almost opposite each other, on the two sides of the main road of the village. We find a memorial to the victims of World Wars I. and II., in the centre of the village, in a park of oakand pine trees. A bit further away from the border of the village, in the silence of the fields is resting colonel József Vidos, who was born in Merse, in 1805.
